HOURS OF IMPACT
Summer GOOD NEWS CLUB
Summer Good News Clubs are our primary ministry for short-term evangelism. These clubs happen in public parks, neighborhoods, homes and Churches. SGNC brings the Gospel closer to your context.
What are Summer Good News Clubs?
Fun 90-minute Bible clubs that meet weekly during the school year. Each club session features snacks and prizes, games, songs, prayer, Bible lessons and memory verse activities.
Where are they held?
In 2001, the U.S. Supreme Court voted to allow after school Good News Clubs to meet in public elementary schools. Currently more than 3,000 clubs are held nationwide.
Who teaches them?
Each club is led by trained Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) students and adult volunteers who love sharing the Gospel. Every team member completes CEF training and a background check to ensure a safe and caring environment for children.
How do I get involved?
You can serve by teaching, hosting a club in your yard, helping with snacks, or praying for the team. There’s a place for everyone to help reach kids with the Good News of Jesus this summer.
Summer Good News Clubs in 2026
This summer’s series, Turned Around, helps kids see how Jesus changes hearts and lives! Each lesson highlights a Bible story of someone transformed by God’s grace from Zacchaeus to Saul to the Ethiopian Treasurer. Children learn that no one is too far gone for God’s love and that anyone who turns to Jesus can be made new. Lessons include songs, games, memory verses, and hands-on activities designed to make God’s Word come alive.

Monday: Zacchaeus
Zacchaeus was a greedy tax collector until he met Jesus, who loved and forgave him. His life was completely turned around as he went from selfishness to generosity and began following Jesus with joy.

Tuesday: Mephiboseth
King David showed kindness to Mephibosheth when he least expected it. His story reminds us that God welcomes us into His family and gives us grace we could never earn.

Wednesday: Saul
Saul once hated people who followed Jesus, but everything changed when he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. God forgave him and gave him a new purpose to share the message of Jesus everywhere he went.

Thursday: Ethiopian Treasurer
God sent Philip to meet a traveler from Ethiopia who was reading God’s Word but did not understand it. When Philip explained the truth about Jesus, the man believed and went home filled with joy.
