What should students expect at CYIA Support Track?
Friendships
Students will learn, serve, and have fun together—and along the way, they’ll build friendships that often last for years to come. During break times, students will talk, play games, and get to know one another. During study time, they’ll work together to remember what they’ve learned. And during our final “fun activity” on Thursday, they’ll have plenty of time to simply enjoy being together.
Our goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where every student feels included. Whether they come knowing someone or arrive without a familiar face, there’s a place for everyone at Support Track!
Classes
Support Track isn’t a normal day camp! Students will participate in classes where they’ll explore important Gospel truths and learn more about God. Throughout the week, they’ll dive into topics like who God is, what sin is, why Jesus died on the cross, and what it means to personally know and grow in Him.
Classes are relatively short and discussion-oriented to match the attention spans of our students. From the lessons we teach to the way we teach them, everything we do at Support Track is designed with our students in mind!
Mentoring
Here at CEF Omaha, we believe that one-on-one mentoring is a beautiful way to practice Christlike discipleship. Support Track students will be grouped together and paired with a capable study coach who loves Jesus and is passionate about helping students grow and thrive.
Throughout the week, coaches will work alongside their students as they memorize Scripture, and review what they’ve learned in class. They’ll encourage students, answer questions, and help them take what they’re learning to heart.
Hands-On Practice
Knowledge with action! We love giving students opportunities to put what they’ve learned into practice, and Support Track is no different. For a portion of each day, students will have the opportunity to support a Summer Good News Club in action (learn more about SGNCs at cefofomaha.org/sgnc).
During Summer GNC, students will connect with kids, help with song time, bring enthusiasm to the club environment, and serve however they can. This is one of the best parts of Support Track! Students love working together, having fun, and putting their new skills into practice as they serve children.

FAQs
What will my child learn?
Your child will learn how to share the Gospel on a child’s level, connect with kids relationally, and contribute to an enthusiastic environment. When students put these skills into practice, we often see them step boldly into their assigned responsibilities and grow in confidence as the week progresses.
Will it be too difficult?
Kids are what we do! Everything we teach is designed with this age group in mind. While every student is encouraged to work toward the same goals, we understand that every child is different. We do our best to meet each child at their level of ability and help them succeed.
Who leads Support Track?
Support Track is led and taught by the CEF Omaha staff team. This team is made up of individuals who have come through the CYIA program and are fully capable of handling this group of students.
All volunteers have been screened to ensure your child's safety during the week.
Can a carpool be arranged?
We want every child to be able to attend Support Track! If you are unable to bring your child to Support Track, it may be possible to arrange a ride with one of our staff members.
Reach out to morgan@cefofomaha.org to see if an arranged pickup could be a possibility this year!
Please reach out to Morgan Gerlach (morgan@cefofomaha.org) if you have any other questions.
