GOOD NEWS CLUB

Good News Clubs are our primary ministry for discipleship. These clubs happen in public elementary schools. GNC provides ample opportunities to share the truth of Jesus with children in Omaha.

What are Good News Clubs?

Fun 90-minute Bible clubs that meet weekly during the school year. Each club session features snacks and prizes, games, songs, prayer, Bible lessons and memory verse activities.

Where are they held?

In 2001, the U.S. Supreme Court voted to allow after school Good News Clubs to meet in public elementary schools. Currently more than 3,000 clubs are held nationwide.

Who teaches them?

Clubs are led by a team of individuals who have received training from CEF, completed a background check and care about helping kids know Jesus.

How do I get involved?

Team members can serve through teaching, praying, providing snacks, and so many other ways. If you’re interested in serving, we’d love to connect with you.

Good News Clubs in 2025-26

Each unit is packed with Bible knowledge! They are relatable, powerful and always based directly from God’s Word. Every lesson includes both growth (discipleship) and Gospel (evangelistic) applications.

The first GNC 2025-26 unit is The Wordless Book. It gives a clear presentation of the Gospel truths as told in the Bible stories of Scripture.

The second unit helps the children understand the life of Daniel. He was able to stand strong in a hostile culture. God gives us strength no matter where we are.

The third unit features stories of Jesus’ life. He was the Messiah God had promised! Not only does He save us from our sin, He changes our lives completely!

The fourth unit is about the early Church. The Spirit came at Pentecost and the world has never been the same since! The children will see how their lives fit with what God is doing through the Church.

PARTNER WITH CEF:

How can your Church partner with a Good news Club?

The Good News Club program partners with local churches to reach kids with the Gospel, help them grow in faith, and connect them to a church community. CEF is here to equip you with everything you need to start this ministry in your local elementary school.
